Groupize Doubles HQ Office Space, Expands Team As Part Of Its Global Expansion

BOSTON, MA, (April 12, 2022) – Groupize, the industry’s most innovative platform for meetings and events management, announced it welcomed four new members to its team in one month and significantly expanded headquarters in Massachusetts. This expansion comes as Groupize continues to push the industry forward with its next-generation unified meeting management platform that ends the era of disparate, hard-to-use systems.

Groupize’s new home was designed to foster collaboration, support several future hires in Q2 and Q3 ‘22, and provide conference space for quarterly team meetings with remote team members. The space has more than doubled the size of previous offices and is located in a highly coveted office park with a cumulative footprint of 125 Life Sciences companies, a key vertical for Groupize.   Groupize continues to build for long-term growth as the meetings and event management technology provider of choice for global enterprises.

Groupize’s latest appointments include:

Karen Crane as the new Customer Success Account Manager: Crane brings the perfect mix of travel, meetings, and technology experience. She has been making a name for himself in the travel industry since 1993, earning multiple accreditations and accolades. Having started her career in leisure and corporate travel, she eventually found her calling in Meetings & Events (M&E). Her areas of expertise include Group Air, MICE travel, Sales Support, and Events. She also brings a wealth of experience in leading teams in Group Air and meeting technology, including providing technology support for SAP Concur, meeting registration tools, and registration builds. Most recently, Karen worked as an Events Account Specialist at Travel & Transport. Once CTM acquired the company, she moved into Sales Support Manager in Events. Before that, Karen worked at Amex as a specialized corporate travel counselor booking corporate and event travel and HCP travel.   

Brian De Leon is the new Senior Director of Sales, Life Sciences, Healthcare, and Education: De Leon brings over 20 years of experience helping Fortune 1000 companies and large organizations automate workflows, modernize payments, and gain visibility of potential fraud and compliance risks. As a result, he has built solid relationships not only with his customers and colleagues but among networks of consultants, corporate travel professionals, banking/finance experts, and SaaS pioneers. Brian has enjoyed sales roles at a top investment bank, super-regional bank, marketing powerhouse American Express, and two early-stage fintech companies, one of which has grown to unicorn status.  He is a sought-after speaker, educator, and volunteer at Global Business Travel Association chapters and finance-oriented organizations like the Institute of Financial Operations and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Michael Linhardt is the new Senior Director of Sales: Linhardt comes to Groupize with two decades of successful sales and business development leadership experience in travel, finance, security, and technology markets. He has held enterprise sales management roles at GrubHub, International SOS, and American Express Global Business Travel. Linhardt is a well-respected enterprise sales executive with a proven track record in successfully expanding companies through strategic relationship building.

 

Bryan Markham is the new Senior Software Engineer: With a background in everything digital, Markham has focused on creating the best interactions with digital media since 2008. Markham brings a strong technology and engineering background with a proven track record in the digital space. His specialties include User Experience, Web Development, and Information Architecture. He was recently a Senior Software Engineer at TKXS by TELUS Agriculture. Before that, Markham held the position of Front End Developer / UX Designer American City Business Journals.
