About the Role:

Groupize is looking for a Business Development Representative who is ready to uncover top level business and contribute to the sales’ team’s success, while providing a superior customer relationship experience. Your primary responsibility will be to establish initial points of contact with new, prospective and/or current customers. The ideal candidate will be highly ambitious with excellent communication skills and can thrive in a challenging, but fun work environment. As a Business Development Representative, you will have the chance to help the company increase its market share and expand the existing client base. This position reports to the CEO but will work closely with the Sales Team on a frequent and daily basis.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Generating sales leads for the Sales Team by prospecting new clients, pursuing warm and cold leads, and maintaining relationships with engaged clients
  • Serve as the first point of contact and provide product information to prospective and/or current customers
  • Identify and qualify sales leads via email campaigns, cold calling, and LinkedIn prospecting
  • Partner with Sales Team to achieve new business quotas
  • Attend industry events to meet with prospective customers and build brand awareness
  • Provide feedback for product enhancements
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Maintain a strong sense of initiative and business integrity
  • Ability to work within a team to achieve goals
  • Excel at developing relationships over the phone and by email
  • Manage high outbound call volume with correspondingly high talk time
  • Effectively handle and overcome prospect objections with confidence
  • Become a trusted resource and develop productive relationships with prospects
  • Maintain the company’s contact database management systems including but not limited to Salesforce and HubSpot with up-to-date contact and activity detail
